Tobi Tajomavwo Nursing Foundation’s Board of Directors are comprised of a group of dedicated professionals, whose mission is to provide educational and charitable resources that will empower the next generation of nurses.
Tobi Tajomavwo, Chair
Tobi Tajomavwo is the founder of the Tobi Tajomavwo Nursing Foundation (TTNF), and currently works in the healthcare field as a Leader in Quality Management, Patient Safety and Regulatory Affairs. She is a graduate of Midwestern State University where she received her Bachelor's degree in Nursing. Driven by her passion to see the next generation of nurses succeed, she takes pride in being able to showcase that through her work leading the TTNF non-profit organization. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, blowing bubbles and cooking.
Ashely Mathis, Vice Chair
Ashley Mathis is the Vice President of Tobi Tajomavwo Nursing Foundation, and currently works as a Mother/Baby Registered Nurse of seven years in Texas. She graduated from University of Texas at Arlington with her Bachelors degree in nursing online. Driven by her passion to serve and help others achieve their goals, she takes pleasure in being able to showcase that through her work with the Tobi Tajomavwo Nursing Foundation non-profit organization. In her free time, she enjoys reading crime novels and volunteering her time helping pregnant women and families prepare for their new addition.
Shacarra S. Briscoe, Secretary
Shacarra Briscoe is the Tobi Tajomavwo Nursing Foundation Secretary, and currently works in the nursing field as an Operating Room Nurse. She is a current graduate of Trinity Valley College where she received her Associate's Degree in Nursing. She also received her Bachelor's in Applied Science from Midwestern State University in 2013. Driven by her own personal journey in nursing, she strives to encourage and support students who have overcome many challenges to pursue a career in nursing. She takes great pride in helping future healthcare leaders through her work with the TTNF non-profit organization. In her free time, she enjoys photography, shopping and traveling with her husband and step-children.
Elias Sotubo, Treasurer
Elias Sotubo is the Treasurer for the Tobi Tajomovwo Nursing Foundation, and currently works in Fuel Accounting. He is a graduate of Midwestern State University where he received his Bachelor's of Business Administration in Accounting. Driven by his love for accessible education, he takes pride in being able to showcase that through his work with the TTNF non-profit organization. In his free time, he enjoys trimming his Bonsai Tree named Langa.
Joslyn Johnson, Chief Communications Officer
Joslyn Johnson is a Board Member at Tobi Tajomavwo Nursing Foundation as the Director of Communications, and currently works in Higher Education. She is a graduate of Texas State University where she received her PhD in Adult, Professional, and Community Education. Her number one priority is to help students thrive in every area – academically, socially, mentally, spiritually, and economically. She takes pride in being able to invest her time and talent in helping students successfully transition throughout the academic cycle and beyond their education into the workplace. In her free time, she enjoys reading, writing, and doing voiceover work for fun.
Augustine Tajomavwo, Chief Information Officer
Augustine Tajomavwo is a Board Member at Tobi Tajomavwo Nursing Foundation and serves as the Director of Information Technology. He is a graduate of The University of Manchester, where he received a Master's in Advanced Computer Science and currently works in Technology. Being a recipient of numerous scholarships, he is passionate about expanding access to quality education to the under privileged. He is happy that serving in the TTNF non-profit organization helps him realize this through the foundation's scholarships offerings. In his free time, he enjoys traveling and watching and analyzing soccer.
