TTNF Nursing Scholarship

Many students can not afford tuition or educational materials needed to successfully become a nurse and we want to end that. Dropping out of nursing school due to financial hardship is not only dire for the student, but is just as impactful for society as a whole TTNFoundation hopes to drastically reduce nursing student drop out rate by providing scholarships to help struggling nursing students complete their studies.

Meet Our Past Scholarship Recipients

Fall 2022

  • James Jones

    James Jones is currently attending Chamberlain University in his senior year as a nursing student. James future goal is to become a NICU nurse or work in the Cath Lab. James loves to travel and read. A fun fact about James, is that in 2017 he went to Thailand where he visited an elephant sanctuary!

  • Jordan Gates

    Jordan Gates is currently attending Howard University in her junior year as a nursing student with Psychology minor. Jordan’s future goal is to become a Nurse Anesthetist. A fun fact about Jordan is that she is a member of the Flashy Flag Squad which is part of the Howard University S.H.O.W.T.I.M.E. Marching Band!

Fall 2021

  • Aisha Powell

    Aisha is currently attending Chamberlain University in her junior year as a nursing student. Aisha's future goal as a nurse is to enter the field of Woman's Health. When not in class Aisha enjoys cooking and baking!

  • Iteoluwakisi Okelana

    Iteoluwakisi is currently attending Prairie View A&M University, in her sophomore year, as a nursing student. Iteoluwakisi’s future goal is to enter the field as a Scrub Nurse. A fun fact about her is that her favorite color is black!

  • Tajia McWhorter

    Tajia is currently attending Prairie View A&M University, in her sophomore year, as a nursing student. Tajia’s future goal as a nurse is to enter the field of Labor and Delivery. A fun fact about her is that her favorite subject is Anatomy and Physiology!

  • Madison Heskett

    Madison is currently attending Midwestern State University, in her fifth and final semester, as a nursing student. Madison’s future goal is to enter the field as a Pediatric Nurse. A fun fact about her is that she has been to all the filming locations of the popular TV show One Tree Hill!

  • Shanie Brooks

    Shanie is currently attending Quincy College, in her first year as a nursing student. Shanie’s future goal as a nurse is to enter the field of Psychiatric and Mental Health. A fun fact about her is that she has duel citizenship in both Jamaica and US!

Scholarship Criteria

TTNF Nursing Scholarship - $1,000.00

Application Deadline: CLOSED

In order to apply for this scholarship, candidates must:

  1. Be a full-time or part-time undergraduate or graduate student in a Nursing Program

  2. Be 18 years of age or older by the Fall 2023 semester

  3. Applicant must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Resident

  4. Complete an application, and upload a video or essay highlighting the following:

    • Who or what has been the greatest influence on your decision to pursue nursing?

    • What receiving this scholarship would mean to you?

    • After the completion of your degree, how do you plan to give back to nursing students that wish to follow in your footsteps?

    • Explain financial hardship, if any.
